Fernau via ferrata
This steep, exposed trail rocky trail is one of the most beautiful and classiest routes in the Alps. 200 m altitude difference between the start and end of the actual climb, takes 1.5 hrs. Continuous steel cable, very exposed. At the end of the line of protective cables follow the cairns to reach the Egesen ridge in just a few minutes.
Levels of difficulty: C (and D at two points).
Descent: signposted trail to the Dresdner hut, 30 mins.
