Cable cars whisk you up to the Schaufeljoch mountain terminal from where it only takes 10 minutes to reach the new summit platform.
The WildWater scenicspot on the Großer Isidor offers a fascinating view overlooking the surrounding glaciers. Return along the signposted Stubai Glacier trail to the Eisgrat mountain terminal – Gamsgarten mountain terminal – Dresdner hut.
From the TOP OF TYROL, the water divides between the Ötztal and Stubai, you simply follow the watercourse down to the valley. Enjoy close-up views of glacier features: big moraine ridges and glacial abrasions hint at the enormous extent of the Alpine glaciers.
From the Fernau middle station first climb up to the small lake, Egesensee, then continue on a part of the Stubai high altitude trail to Mutterberger See and from there climb down to the valley station.
Starting from the Dresdner hut the trail takes you past small lakes, ponds and tarns up to a plateau, which gives you a great view of the glaciers and summits.
From the Fernau middle station a steep track runs to the east via the Peiljoch where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the riven Sulzenauferner. The trail runs over the glacial apron and then to the Sulzenau hut and over the Sulzenau alp along the spectacular Grawa Waterfall back down into the
valley.
