In the winter of 2022/23 too, several SAAC Basic Camps take place on the Stubai Glacier.
The SAAC Camps are 2-day trainings around the topics of risk management for freeriding and how to rescue your comrades in an emergency situation. The camps are offered by certified mountain and ski guides and they will inform you on the dangers and correct behaviour in the backcountry in theory and practice.
Programme:
Day 1 - Theory
Time: 4:00 p.m. to approx. 7:00 p.m.

Day 2 - Practice
Time: approx. 9:00 a.m. to approx. 3:30 p.m.
On day 2 the theory learned during the previous day is put into practice. Different exercises are carried out in the field.
