The STUBAI ULTRATRAIL is worldwide unique. It connects the alpine-urban capital of the Alps Innsbruck with the fantastic mountain and glacier landscape of the Stubai Valley!
Can one actually improve on an ultimate challenge? Yes, one can. Every single year, the Stubai Ultratrail’s routes have been optimised. After the spectacular start of the STUBAI ULTRATRAIL in the summer 2017, trail runners can now look forward to the 5th edition of the STUBAI ULTRATRAIL under this year’s name “city2glacier” on 2 July 2022!
The STUBAI ULTRATRAIL is the ultimate challenge in the heart of the Alps. Under the motto “city2glacier”, the challenge is to run from the Olympic town of Innsbruck in the middle of the Tyrol up to an altitude of 3,150m on the Stubai Glacier in one day – from the city to the eternal ice.
Again, four course lengths are offered, from the 8-kilometre-long STUBAI K8 to the 68-kilometre STUBAI ULTRATRAIL K68 covering 5,006 metres of altitude gain. In between are the distances of the STUBAI K20 with more than 19 kilometres and 2,138m of altitude gain and the STUBAI K32 with almost 32 kilometres and 3,100m of altitude gain.
The course of the Stubai Ultratrail:
STUBAI ULTRATRAIL K67: 67km; ↑ 5,006m of altitude gain; ↓ 2,429m of altitude loss
STUBAI K32: 31.6km ↑ 3,100m of altitude gain, ↓ 965m of altitude loss
