Take deep breaths and relax during yoga at an altitude of 3,000m

This summer, yoga enthusiasts can look forward to unique yoga sessions under the motto "Yoga at 3,000m" with yoga instructor Kati Mairhofer on the Stubai Glacier.

In addition to a varied yoga programme for all levels, participants can expect very special locations for their yoga sessions:

The TOP OF TYROL summit platform as well as the roof terrace at the Eisgrat mountain station offer not only breath-taking views across the Stubai Alps up to the Dolomites, but are also a perfect location for taking deep breaths and finding peace of mind. The force of the elements noticeably have their impact on the exercises and make the yoga sessions a unique experience.

Cost & registration

Cost: €35 per person incl. lunch and excl. lift ticket 

The number of participants is limited to max. 20 persons. Participation is based on the principle first come, first serve.

Programme*

 

10:20 a.m. – meet at the information point at the Eisgrat mountain station on the Stubai Glacier (attention: gondola ride takes approx. 20 – 25 minutes)

10:30 a.m. – approx.. 60 minutes – meditation & yoga - element of fire

The fire element is an important part of our being: too much fire and we burn out, too little fire, we freeze. Therefore, it is important that our fire burns evenly. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but always steadily. We start the day together full of fiery energy. Through meditation and breathing exercises, we create fire and let it shine through our bodies with the help of a vitalising yoga flow.

12:00 p.m. – lunch break with a vegan lunch 

Vegan ramen soup with miso, pak choi and smoked tofu

1:30 p.m. – approx..40 minutes – breathing & yoga session – element of water

Let the life energy flow, let go and trustingly follow the flow: an exercise session dedicated to the water element and its qualities. Smoothly interlocking organ sequences, supported by the rhythm of the conscious breath, we glide out of our head and thoughts into our body – into feeling and sensing. An interplay of Yin & Yang energy becomes the focus of this session.

2:15 p.m. – uphill ride to the TOP OF TYROL summit platform 

2:30 p.m. – approx. 30-minute-long meditation and embodiment session dedicated to the element of earth

Find support, gain stability and build strength: This yoga session is dedicated to the element of earth and its qualities. The world seems to be spinning faster and faster and each and every one of us has to deal with global challenges. This can arouse fears. Hence my interest in the confidence-creating element of earth in yoga. I want us yoga practitioners to be able to relax back into our lives and build on our strengths to find security, as well as join in life itself.

3:15 p.m. – downhill ride into the valley and end of the event

Your yoga instructor – Kati Mairhofer

Kati is at home in Mieming in Tirol, a passionate dog owner and a trained yoga instructor, awakening coach and choreographer. Her sessions focus on the human being, because we are all the same when sweating, laughing, working out, stretching or meditating. Her yoga classes, meditations and coaching sessions above all change the way you deal with yourself, your own body and general awareness in a healing way. To Kati, teaching this is not a profession, but a personal passion she loves to share. During yoga at an altitude of 3,000m, Kati focuses on the elements of fire, water and earth, immersing herself in the surrounding mountain world.
