Spring Sessions in the Snowpark Stubai Zoo
The Snowpark Stubai Zoo at the Stubai Glacier has developed into one of the TOP addresses for top-class freestyle fun in the last decades. The reason for this is on the one hand the extraordinary location with all-day sunlight as well as various international events: the FIS Stubai Freeski Worldcup, the Stubai Prime Park Sessions, which are already celebrating their tenth anniversary in the Stubai next season or the Stubai Premiere as season opening.
However, the main reason for the popularity of the snowpark is without a doubt the snow reliability at the Stubai Glacier and the always perfectly shaped set-up from Schneestern. The snowpark builders from Kempten recognize the trends in winter as well as summer sports and have been a reliable partner in terms of snowpark on the Stubai Glacier from the very beginning. Thus, concepts were jointly developed and realized, which enjoy great popularity in the freestyle scene.
The latest coup is the new jibline on Gaiskarferner with its own lift, the Zoo Shuttle. Here, snowboarders and freeskiers, who manly use rails and jibobstacles, will now find numerous features to try out and perfect their tricks.
WAS MACHT DEN STUBAI ZOO SO BESONDERS?
Da gibt es einige Faktoren, die den Stubai Zoo einzigartig machen. Es ist einerseits die süd-östliche Lage und die ganztägige Sonneneinstrahlung von Herbst bis Frühling. Die Sonne macht die Landungen weich, die Absprünge bleiben hart. Für die Athleten ist das gepaart mit dem atemberaubenden Panorama das Beste, was passieren kann.
Das umfangreiche Set-up ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt des Snowparks am Stubaier Gletscher. Es beginnt bei kleinen 2 m Sprüngen und Anfänger-Boxen und führt zu großen 19 m Sprüngen und Doublekinked Rails.
Was mir persönlich am besten gefällt im Stubai Zoo ist, dass Fahrer aller Levels, vom Anfänger bis zum Olympiasieger, Weltmeister, etc. im gleichen Snowpark fahren und sich denselben Lift teilen. Hier entstehen oft tolle Situationen wo zum Beispiel ein Newcomer sein Idol zufällig am Lift trifft und die Chance hat, sich wertvolle Tipps zu holen. Das inspiriert ungemein und der Stubai Zoo Spirit ist da schon ein ganz besonderer.
