Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of glaciers! During our approximately one-hour information session, you will first learn exciting and interesting facts about glaciers, their formation, how they change, and their special significance for the Alpine landscape.

After the information session, an approximately 2-hour guided hike will start for experienced hiking enthusiasts who are sure-footed. The route leads along the Glacier Trail down to the Fernau middle station at 2,300 m. Along the way, you will gain deeper insights into the world of glaciers, including glacier levels, lateral moraines, glacial lakes and the visible traces of climate change in the high Alpine landscape.

To round off this special day, we will enjoy a relaxed get-together at the Dresdner Hütte.

  • Sturdy hiking boots with a good tread are required. We also recommend weatherproof clothing and sun protection.
  • Participation is suitable for children and adults with hiking experience and sure-footedness.
  • The information session and guided hike are free of charge. A valid lift ticket is required.
