Powder Department Ladies Days

Dare a new adventure

Nothing has to, everything can - is the motto of the Powder Department Ladies Days. With empathy and a high level of expertise, the state-certified mountain and ski guides will take all action-hungry ladies beyond the edge of the slopes again from January 26 to 28, 2024. Safety is always the top priority. That's why Ortovox avalanche transceivers, probes and shovels are included in the Ladies Days package. All good female piste skiers without deep snow experience as well as advanced female freeriders who still need some help in improving their skiing technique or in avalanche awareness and alpine knowledge are invited to join us. In small groups of a maximum of 6 ladies and with a total of only 24 participants, freeride beginners and powder queens alike will experience a new adventure in Austria's largest glacier ski area.

Technical requirements:

Very good skiing skills on black slopes, freeride skills not essential. (In case of insufficient skiing skills, the organizers reserve the right to exclude participants or to ski only on the slopes for safety reasons).
The groups will be divided into freeride beginners, easy and well advanced freeriders.

Equipment

++ ski clothing appropriate to the weather and temperatures
++ helmet and goggles
++ skis, ski boots, ski poles (freeride skis can be rented at Sport Okay at Eisgrat for a fee. Faction is also on site with freeride skis for free testing. However, the ski test does not guarantee that a suitable ski will be available for all participants for the whole weekend!)
++ Backpack to carry shovel, probe, etc.
++ Who has: Avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, airbag (but you can get avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel on loan from us).

Saturday, 27.01.2024: 
joint ascent with the Eisgratbahn
Freeride runs with mountain and ski guides in different levels
Lunch in the Habicht Stube on the Eisgrat
Safety check, avalanche transceiver search, freeriding
Wellness and dinner at the hotel

Sunday, 28.01.2024: 
joint ascent with the Gamsgarten cable car
Freeride runs with mountain and ski guides, avalanche transceiver search, safety check
Lunch in the Habicht Stube on the Eisgrat
Freeride runs with mountain and ski guides in different levels
Café at the Eisgrat
Farewell and return of rental equipment

Package: EUR 595,- per person in a double room | EUR 675,- in a single room

2 nights with half board, breakfast buffet, cake in the afternoon and 5-course dinner*, local tax, 2 days guiding with certified mountain and ski guides, 2 days rental safety equipment, 2-day lift ticket, coffee on Sunday afternoon, goodie bag.

*Drinks with the meal are not included
