Of course, it's impossible to predict exactly what the weather will be like. It can be spring-like warm at Easter, but snowy days are also not an exception. However, we can guarantee that a perfect sunshine skiing experience awaits you on the many sunny days.
Is there still natural snow on the Stubai Glacier in April?
The Stubai Glacier ski area stretches from 1,700 metres to over 3,000 metres above sea level. It is therefore considered snow-sure. You can enjoy real natural snow slopes until late spring.
How long is the journey to the Stubai Glacier?
The Stubai Glacier ski area is located at the end of the Stubai Valley valley, approx. 45 minutes from the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. From the valley station, the 3S gondola lift takes you up from 1,700 metres to 3,000 metres in around 12 minutes. Then it's just a case of putting on your skis and off you go.
Can I use public transport to get there?
Many ski buses operate at regular intervals in the entire Stubai Valley – of course also to the valley station of the Stubai Glacier. The ski bus in the Stubai Valley is free of charge. From Innsbruck you can take bus no. 509 which will bring your directly to the Stubai Glacier – to the current VVT schedule.
